The Bible states that God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7) and that Jesus taught it is better to give then receive (Acts 20:35).
1 John 5:14-15 says , “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask , we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.”
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you: do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. The World English Bible translates the passage as: Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you. shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
Ask God specifically for what you want . Tell God what you want or need and ask Him to provide that for you . Be specific about your request. Even though God knows what you want and need , He wants you to ask Him for it. God can answer vague prayers, but being specific creates a deeper bond between you and Him.
In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads: 7 Ask, and it shall be given you ; seek, and ye . shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you : 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh.
Hebrews 13:16 It says that we should be giving in both time and money . It says we should be generous and willing to give anything we can– if we don’t have money , we should serve.
That’s what Jesus was referring to in John 16:23. But what is God’s will ? If we ask for something that isn’t good for us , God not only won’t give it to us , He can ‘t give it to us because He’s not capable of doing anything other than the greatest possible good for each one of us .
To those who ask ! He said, “ Ask and you shall receive…” There is something about “ asking ” that God likes. The Lord wants us to ask Him for good things ! When we ask God for something , it’s a humble acknowledgment that we are needy and He is our good and benevolent Father – willing to give us the things we desire.
We must never give up in prayer, we must persist And there is nothing wrong if you pray repeatedly asking for the same thing . As long as what you are praying for is within the will of God . It is totally acceptable to keep asking until either God grants your request or removes the desire from your heart.
In Matthew’s gospel, Jesus summarises the whole of the Old Testament in a single phrase: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This maxim, known as “the golden rule ” of ethics, is sometimes portrayed as an exclusively Christian concept.
The Golden Rule is stated positively numerous times in the Old Testament : Leviticus 19:18 (“Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.”; see also Great Commandment) and Leviticus 19:34 (“But treat them just as you treat
Golden Rule , precept in the Gospel of Matthew (7:12): “In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you. . . .” This rule of conduct is a summary of the Christian’s duty to his neighbour and states a fundamental ethical principle. It is not, however, peculiar to Christianity .
How To Attract , Receive & Accepting Blessing From God (Bible Verses) Repent, be sorry for your bad deeds, accept responsibility, and be willing to change for the better. ” Keep God’s commandments. Humble yourself as Jesus said: Be pure through faith. ” Honor your parents. Giving. Ask God for it.
Show mercy. ” You do not need to use complete sentences in your prayers — just say “Thank You Lord!”; “Mercy”, or simply talk to Him, ” God ” or something like, “Oh, God “. Inhumanity of man against others has always been a force in history. Jesus tied your receiving God’s mercy with your giving mercy to others.
