To the two of them okay means always as in they will always be there for each other. In chapter 25 it says “” Okay ,” he said after forever. “Maybe okay will be our always.”” This is a very symbolic line in the book because it shows that they will never give up on each other and they will always stay together. “ My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations.” “Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.” “I’m in love with you ,” he said quietly.
Why do they pick these words ? The words ” always ” – Monica and Isaac – and ” okay ” – Augustus and Hazel – signify their love and devotion to one another. Monica and Isaac used their word to tell each other they they ‘ll always be together.
Quote by John Green : “Maybe ‘okay’ will be our ‘always”
I almost felt like he was there in my room with me, but in a way it was better, like I was not in my room and he was not in his, but instead we were together in some invisible and tenuous third space that could only be visited on the phone. “ Okay ,” he said after forever. “Maybe okay will be our always .” “ Okay ,” I said.
OK (spelling variations include okay , O.K. , and ok ) is an English word (originally American English) denoting approval, acceptance, agreement, assent, acknowledgment, or a sign of indifference. OK is frequently used as a loanword in other languages. The origins of the word are disputed.
The book’s title, The Fault in Our Stars , comes from a line in Shakespeare’s play in Julius Caesar where Cassius says, “The fault , dear Brutus is not in our stars , / But in ourselves, that we are underlings.” Cassius seems to be saying that it’s not fate that dooms men, but instead their own failings.
As a whole, we spend a great deal of time trying to avoid pain but, if we read carefully, The Fault In Our Stars also teaches us that “pain demands to be felt” and “the universe likes to be noticed.” No matter how we try, Gus is right- we don’t get to choose if we get hurt; it is a near certainty that we will
“Why are you looking at me like that?” “Because you ‘re beautiful.” The Fault In Our Stars, Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters.
An Imperial Affliction , also referred to as AIA for short, is Hazel’s favorite book, written by Peter Van Houten. She sees the book as a reference to her own life ; she doesn’t want to die without the security of knowing that her parents will be okay.
Why does Augustus write Hazel a eulogy before he dies? We write the end of our own story. He wanted her live her life in the now (not be worried about mom or dad).
Van Houten reveals the fate thusly: “Omnis cellula e cellula,” which means “All cells come from cells.” When asked if she would like a further explanation, Hazel declines and instead calls Van Houten a pathetic drunk before kicking him out of the car. That evening back at home Hazel’s father comes into her room.
“That’s the thing about pain, it demands to be felt.” — The Fault In Our Stars John Green .
