In William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet , the title character more often presents himself as an “arrant knave” than as a “ sweet prince .” The phrase “arrant knave” – which is used twice in the play – might be defined as referring to a rotten scoundrel (see eNotes links below).

Horatio is the only one who knows for certain that Hamlet madness is an act. He is the one person Hamlet love deeply, and trust personally, and the main person to comfort him at his death. When Hamlet lies dying Horatio is prepared to commit suicide so that he will not have to live without his beloved friend.

Horatio walks headlong into a trap and is shot at by him. At the end of the season 6 finale, Horatio is shot. It appears as though he is dead , but in behind the scenes video, it’s said Horatio’s death was faked so he can go after Ron.
Shakespeare’s tragic hero Hamlet’s fatal flaw is his failure to act immediately to kill Claudius, his uncle and murderer of his father. His tragic flaw is ‘procrastination’. His procrastination, his tragic flaw , leads him to his doom along with that of the other characters he targets.
“To thine own self be true,” says Polonius in Hamlet. This phrase has become enormously popular, so much so that there are entire Tumblrs of photographs of people bearing “to thine own self be true” tattoos and other paraphernalia.

During the match, Claudius conspires with Laertes to kill Hamlet. They plan that Hamlet will die either on a poisoned rapier or with poisoned wine. The plans go awry when Gertrude unwittingly drinks from the poisoned cup and dies. Then both Laertes and Hamlet are wounded by the poisoned blade, and Laertes dies.
The quote “ When sorrows come , they come not single spies , but in battalions” was used by Claudius in Shakespeare play, Hamlet, Act IV, Scene V. Claudius meant that, when bad incidents occur, they do not happen alone and many other bad happenings occur simultaneously to contribute to human tragedy.
It’s a quote from Shakespeare’s Hamlet – the Queen is placing funeral flowers (the sweets) on the grave of Hamlet’s now deceased lover, Ophelia (the sweet).
